Bikes Belong Foundation

In June 2006, we launched the Bikes Belong Foundation. Our 501c3 nonprofit arm focuses on:

  • Bicycle safety projects
  • Children’s bicycle programs

The foundation operates as a charitable organization that can receive tax-deductible donations from individuals. It stands as a separate, complementary organization to the Bikes Belong Coalition.

The Bikes Belong Foundation currently backs the following important projects:

  1. Paul David Clark Bicycling Safety Fund
  2. Safe Routes to School National Partnership
  3. REI Bicycle Friendly Communities Grant Program

Now is the time to encourage more children to ride and make bicycling safer. The two go hand-in-hand. That's why we established the Bikes Belong Foundation.

We need to build mutual respect among motorists and cyclists. We need to slow traffic. We need to provide safe places to ride. We need to create communities where people of all ages can enjoy bicycling without fear.

These issues affect health, safety, and quality of life.

The Bikes Belong Foundation is actively seeking new partners. Contributions from individuals are welcome and tax-deductible as permitted by law.
