NYC Riverside Connector, Phase 2

Bikes Belong gave a $10,000 grant to Transportation Alternatives to support their work on the Riverside South Connector of the Hudson River Greenway in New York City. The multi-use path, on Manhattan's Upper Westside, runs along the Hudson River between 59th and 72nd Streets, and is a great route for bike commuters as well as recreational riders.

Bike Demo Project

This $10,000 grant helped SABA to promote and complete a "bicycle demonstration project" in response to the Federal Highway Administration's National Bicycling and Walking Study.

Marin County North-South Greenway
Organization Marin County Bicycle Coalition

The Marin County Bicycle Coalition created the North-South Greenway to provide a non-motorized transportation corridor that parallels Highway 101, connecting transit centers, downtown areas, schools, and residences. Bikes Belong's early support helped the coalition secure federal and state funding for the project

Los Angeles Riverway

Bikes Belong awarded a grant to the LACBC to continue their work on the LA River Bikeway. Cyclists, environmentalists, and transportation professionals all expressed enthusiasm for the LA River Bikeway project, as it promises to reduce congestion and expand safe options for bike commuters.

Eastern Trail

Bikes Belong awarded a $10,000 grant to the Eastern Trail Alliance to help build a 9-mile section of the Eastern Trail, from Casco Bay to Scarborough, Maine. The trail, which follows the state's first rail corridor, provides local families and thousands of visitors with a safe and historic route for exploring southern Maine by bike.
