Bikes Belong recently pledged support of two national bicycle advocacy efforts: Thunderhead Alliance and the National Complete Streets Coalition. Thunderhead Alliance is the national coalition of bicycle and pedestrian advocacy groups. Bikes Belong is providing $10,000 in cash support for their Benchmarking Project, a data collection and analysis effort that is designed to measure the success of bicycling programs across the United States. The National Complete Streets Coalition is working to create “Complete Streets” that provide safe and appealing options for bicycling and walking. Bikes Belong is making a $15,000 cash contribution to this campaign to match support provided by the American Association of Retired Persons and the American Society of Landscape Architects. Our contribution will help this initiative make our communities better for bicycling and walking and build powerful connections between bicycle groups and other organizations.
