First Platinum Bicycle Friendly Community Announced

In October, the League of American Bicyclists awarded Davis, California, the coveted platinum Bicycle Friendly Community designation. Davis is the first city to achieve this level. Bikes Belong is the primary sponsor of the Bicycle Friendly Communities program, which recognizes cities that support bicycling and works to replicate their successes in other communities. Two cities—Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Vancouver, Washington—were newly designated at the bronze level, bringing the total number of communities recognized to 52. about the Bicycle Friendly Communities program.
