Jeff Frehner, CEO of Pacific Cycle, Elected to Bikes Belong Board

Jeff Frehner, chief executive officer of Pacific Cycle, has been elected to the Bikes Belong Coalition's board of directors. Frehner becomes Bikes Belong's 18th volunteer director. Frehner began his career in the bicycle industry in 1996 as an attorney and Human Resources Director for Quality Bicycle Products in Bloomington, Minnesota. In 2002, he joined Pacific Cycle, based in Madison, Wisconsin. Frehner was named Pacific’s President and CEO in January 2007. An avid cyclist, Frehner also serves on the board of Project Rwanda, which backs economic development through bicycling initiatives in the African nation. Frehner is also involved with a variety of Wisconsin cycling-related organizations. Pacific Cycle owns and distributes Schwinn, Mongoose, GT, Roadmaster, and other brands. Pacific is the leading supplier of bicycles to the U.S. mass-market channel and is also a key distributor to independent bicycle dealers. “I am honored to join the Bikes Belong board of directors,” said Frehner. “I am excited to help the organization continue its important work to promote cycling.” Tim Blumenthal, executive director of Bikes Belong, said, "Jeff will be a great addition to our board.
