America Bikes gears up for final Transportation Bill push

Bikes Belong executive director Tim Blumenthal and government relations director Gary Sjoquist participated in a crucial America Bikes board strategy meeting in Washington, DC. on May 28, 2009. The America Bikes board gathered to engineer a final push to support the America Bikes platform for the next Federal Transportation bill.

Rep. Jim Oberstar of Minnesota, head of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, introduced the bill June 22 on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Bikes Belong is the funder of America Bikes - a coalition of eight leading U.S. bicycling advocacy organizations.
