Bikes Belong Coalition launched in 1999 as the national coalition of bicycle retailers, distributors and suppliers working to put more people on bikes more often. U.S. bicycle companies recognized that they could accomplish more for bicycling by working together.
From helping create safe places to ride to promoting bicycling, Bikes Belong Coalition carefully selects projects and partnerships that have the capacity to make a difference.
We focus on four key areas to boost bicycling:
1) Federal Funding & Policy
2) National Partnerships
3) Community Grants
4) Promoting Bicycling
Additionally, we operate the Bikes Belong Foundation, our 501(c)(3) sister organization focused on children’s programs, bicycle safety, and grassroots engagement.
Our industry and products are building a better America: bicycling improves health, provides jobs, reduces our dependence on foreign oil, cuts air pollution, eases traffic congestion, and creates stronger communities.
